Boomi Architect ( iPaas Solution Engineer Boomi )

We are looking for Senior Boomi Architect to provide strong hands-on technical leadership for the Boomi integration platform. The role combines deep Boomi engineering expertise with enterprise integration architecture, platform governance, reusable solution development, developer enablement, and operational excellence.

The successful candidate must be able to personally design, build, review, optimize, and troubleshoot complex Boomi solutions while establishing standards and best practices to enable delivery teams across the firm.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as Boomi subject matter expert within the Integration CoE, define Boomi reference architectures, integration patterns, engineering standards, guardrails, and development best practices.
• Build reusable frameworks, templates, accelerators, error-handling, logging, monitoring, and security patterns.
• Architect and hands-on develop complex Boomi integrations across APIs, events, messaging, files, batch, and B2B/EDI scenarios.
• Design and review Boomi Processes, Connectors, Profiles, Maps, Process Routes, Trading Partners, APIs, and reusable components.
• Lead architecture/design reviews and provide hands-on technical guidance to development and application teams.
• Troubleshoot complex integration, runtime, connectivity, deployment, performance, and production issues.
• Define and optimize Boomi runtime architecture covering cloud/local runtimes, clustering, scalability, HA, resilience, and disaster recovery.
• Establish CI/CD, automated deployment, versioning, testing, and release-management practices.
• Drive observability using Boomi Process Reporting, OpenTelemetry, Splunk, Azure Monitor, and enterprise monitoring standards.
• Provide technical leadership for B2B/EDI, including Trading Partners, EDIFACT/X12, AS2, OFTP2, SFTP, certificates, and partner onboarding.
• Mentor architects and developers through workshops, design clinics, troubleshooting sessions, and hands-on implementation support.
• Evaluate and promote relevant new Boomi capabilities, including AI-assisted integration and automation, where appropriate.

Required Technical Skills

• 7+ years of strong hands-on Boomi experience with enterprise-scale implementations
• Deep expertise in Boomi Enterprise Platform / AtomSphere Integration.
• Strong knowledge of Boomi runtime architecture, administration, deployment, performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with REST, SOAP, HTTP/S, AS2, SFTP/FTP, IBM MQ, Kafka, and Azure Service Bus.
• Strong B2B/EDI knowledge including EDIFACT, X12, Trading Partners, certificates, acknowledgements, and secure partner communication.
• Experience with XML, JSON, CSV, canonical models, mapping, transformation, validation, and routing.
• Strong understanding of hybrid integration across SaaS, Azure, cloud, and on-premises environments.
• Knowledge of OAuth2, Microsoft Entra ID/Azure AD, TLS, certificates, secrets management, VPN, VNet, private endpoints, and firewalls.
• Experience with CI/CD, Azure DevOps, deployment automation, observability, HA/DR, and production support.

Experience & Qualifications

• 12+ years of enterprise integration experience, including architecture and engineering.
• 7+ years of directly relevant hands-on Boomi experience.
• Proven experience as a Boomi Architect, Integration Architect, or Platform Architect.
• Experience establishing Integration CoE standards, reusable frameworks, governance, and engineering practices.
• Strong mentoring, stakeholder-management, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills.
• Boomi certifications such as Professional Integration Developer, Integration Architect, Runtime Architect, or B2B/EDI are preferred.
