Bom Engineer

Job Summary

Responsible for preparing, reviewing, and maintaining accurate Bills of Materials for interior projects. The role involves converting design and technical drawings into production-ready BOMs, ensuring correct materials, hardware, quantities, dimensions, finishes, and specifications are available for manufacturing and procurement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed BOMs for modular kitchens, wardrobes, furniture, wall panels, doors, partitions, and other interior products.
• Interpret architectural, interior, and manufacturing drawings.
• Identify and specify materials such as:(MDF, HDF, plywood, particle board, Laminates, acrylic, veneer, PU finishes, Edge bands, Glass, mirrors, metals, profiles, Adhesives and consumables )
• Define hardware requirements such as hinges, drawer channels, handles, lift-up systems, connectors, screws, brackets, and fittings.
• Calculate material quantities based on product dimensions and design specifications.
• Ensure correct material codes, sizes, thicknesses, finishes, and quantities are included in the BOM.
• Coordinate with Design, Production, Procurement, Quality, Estimation, and Project teams.
• Identify opportunities to reduce material wastage and optimize material usage.
• Ensure standardization of materials, hardware, and components across products.
• Maintain proper revision control and BOM documentation.

Qualification & Experience:

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Civil, Interior Design, or a related field.
• Experience in interior/furniture is preferred.
• Good knowledge of interior furniture manufacturing processes.
• Strong understanding of materials, hardware, fittings, and finishes used in interiors.
• Ability to read 2D drawings and basic 3D models.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and BOM preparation.
