About this role
Role & responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain secure and scalable blockchain applications and platforms.
- Develop and optimize smart contracts using Solidity, Rust, or other blockchain programming languages.
- Build and integrate decentralized applications (dApps) with blockchain networks, wallets, APIs, and off-chain services.
- Design blockchain solutions across Ethereum, EVM-compatible networks, Layer 1, Layer 2, and rollup ecosystems.
- Implement blockchain integrations including wallets, token standards, exchanges, custodians, oracles, and third-party Web3 services.
- Develop backend services, APIs, indexing systems, and data pipelines that interact with blockchain networks.
- Conduct smart-contract testing, debugging, code reviews, security assessments, and gas optimization.
- Implement best practices for smart-contract security, access control, upgradeability, key management, and vulnerability prevention.
- Work with blockchain nodes, RPC providers, indexers, and on-chain data systems to ensure reliable application performance.
- Build automated testing and CI/CD pipelines for smart contracts and blockchain applications.
- Monitor blockchain applications and infrastructure for performance, reliability, security, and operational issues.
- Troubleshoot production issues involving smart contracts, transactions, nodes, APIs, wallets, and blockchain integrations.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, frontend/backend engineers, security teams, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Evaluate emerging blockchain protocols, frameworks, development tools, and Web3 technologies for potential adoption.
- Contribute to technical documentation, architecture decisions, development standards, and engineering best practices.
- Participate in security audits and coordinate remediation of vulnerabilities identified through internal or external reviews.
Preferred candidate profile
- 5 to 10 years of experience in software engineering, blockchain development, Web3, distributed systems, or a related technical field.
- Strong hands-on experience developing production-grade blockchain applications and smart contracts.
- Strong proficiency in Solidity and Ethereum/EVM, with experience in Rust, Go, or TypeScript being an advantage.
- Solid understanding of blockchain architecture, distributed systems, consensus mechanisms, cryptography, transactions, gas mechanics, and network architecture.
- Experience with Ethereum, EVM-compatible chains, Layer 1/Layer 2 networks, rollups, or other major blockchain ecosystems.
- Strong knowledge of smart-contract development, testing, security, auditing, upgradeability, and gas optimization.
- Hands-on experience with Foundry, Hardhat, OpenZeppelin, Ethers.js, Web3.js, or equivalent blockchain development tools.
- Experience building or integrating dApps, DeFi applications, token systems, wallets, blockchain APIs, or Web3 infrastructure.
- Familiarity with ERC-20, ERC-721, ERC-1155 and other token standards.
- Understanding of zero-knowledge proofs, ZK-rollups, account abstraction, cross-chain interoperability, oracles, and bridges is desirable.
- Experience working with blockchain nodes, RPC providers, indexing solutions, The Graph, IPFS, and on-chain data.
- Strong programming and software-engineering fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, system design, APIs, databases, testing, Git, and CI/CD.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/Azure/GCP, monitoring, and cloud infrastructure is an advantage.
