BlackLine Reconciliation Analyst at Navi Mumbai

Job Role -

• Perform Bank Account Reconciliations in BlackLine by comparing bank balances with General Ledger (GL) balances.
• Perform Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations in BlackLine as part of the monthly activity.
• Review and investigate open and unreconciled items, identify the root cause, and coordinate with relevant teams for resolution.
• Prepare and post month-on-month Journal Entries (JEs) to clear eligible open items and ensure accurate account balances.
• Co-ordinate with Business Unit and relevant team to clear the open items.
• Ensure all reconciliations have appropriate supporting documentation, explanations, and evidence in BlackLine.
• Track aging of open items and follow up with relevant stakeholders for timely clearance.
• Review prior-month open items and ensure appropriate actions are taken during the current accounting period.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities and ensure reconciliations are completed within established timelines.
• Identify unusual transactions, reconciling differences, and long-outstanding items and escalate them appropriately.
• Support internal and external audit requirements by providing reconciliation details and supporting documentation.
• Monitor reconciliation status in BlackLine and ensure assigned accounts are completed and certified within the required close calendar.
• Identify opportunities to improve and standardize reconciliation and open-item-clearing processes.

Required Skills & Knowledge

• Hands-on experience with BlackLine Account Reconciliation.
• Strong understanding of Bank and Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
• Knowledge of General Ledger (GL) accounting and Journal Entries.
• Experience in investigating and clearing open/reconciling items.
• Understanding of month-end close and Record-to-Report (R2R) processes.
• Working knowledge of accounting concepts such as accruals, prepayments, provisions, reclassifications, and account clearing.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP is preferred.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and reconciliation of large datasets.
• Experience required 1-4 Yrs
