BIW

Key Responsibilities

• Design and development of BIW Under Body / Upper Body components and assemblies using UGNX / Siemens NX.
• Create and modify 3D models, assemblies and 2D drawings as per design requirements.
• Work on BIW components such as floor, cross members, side members, pillars, roof, package tray, wheel house and related structures.
• Understand automotive BIW design concepts, manufacturing requirements and design feasibility.
• Perform design modifications based on engineering changes and customer requirements.
• Check clearances, interfaces, packaging and assembly feasibility.
• Support design reviews, problem solving and engineering change activities.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, tooling, quality and vehicle integration.
• Follow GD&T, drawing standards and engineering specifications.
  
  

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of BIW design – Under Body / Upper Body.
• Hands-on experience with UGNX / Siemens NX / NX CAD.
• Good knowledge of 3D modelling and assembly design.
• Basic knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawings.
• Understanding of sheet metal design and automotive BIW components.
• Knowledge of automotive design and manufacturing processes.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Teamcenter / PLM.
• Knowledge of BIW tooling and manufacturing feasibility.
• Exposure to CATIA is an added advantage.
• Experience working with OEM / automotive projects is preferred.
  
  

We are looking for a BIW Design Engineer with hands-on experience in Under Body or Upper Body design using Siemens NX / UGNX. The candidate will be responsible for 3D modelling, component and assembly design, drawing creation, and design development activities for automotive BIW structures.
