BIM Structural Draftsman

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

. Develop detailed 2D drawings and 3D BIM models for structural projects using Revit Structure and AutoCAD.
. Prepare structural detailing for beams, columns, slabs, footings, foundations, shear walls, and staircases.
. Perform rebar detailing and reinforcement modelling in Revit.
. Generate Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) and reinforcement quantity take-offs.
. Prepare detailed structural shop drawings independently as per IFC drawings and design inputs.
. Coordinate with structural engineers to incorporate design changes accurately.
. Conduct clash detection using Navisworks and resolve structural clashes with Architectural & MEP disciplines.
. Ensure all drawings comply with structural drafting standards and project specifications.
. Update and maintain BIM models throughout design and construction stages.
. Prepare LOD 350-450 models and as-built structural documentation.
. Maintain proper version control and documentation management as per the BIM Execution Plan (BEP).

Requirements to Apply

. Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field.
. 5 years of experience as a Draftsman, preferably with exposure to BIM workflows.
. Proficient in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
. Strong understanding of architectural drawings, detailing, and drafting standards.
. Familiar with BIM coordination and multi-disciplinary integration.
. Good attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational skills.
. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
. Knowledge of Dubai or GCC building standards is an advantage.
