Billing Executive

We are looking for an experienced IPD Billing Executive to manage inpatient billing operations, ensure accurate bill preparation, coordinate with hospital departments, and maintain proper billing records for patients admitted to the hospital.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage accurate IPD bills for admitted patients, including room charges, nursing charges, doctor visits, investigations, procedures, medicines, and consumables.
• Handle billing for cash, corporate, TPA, ECHS, CGHS, and other panel patients, as applicable.
• Verify patient admission details, rate lists, package rates, deposits, and billing entries.
• Coordinate with the nursing station, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, and other departments to ensure all services are correctly billed.
• Monitor interim bills, advance payments, outstanding balances, and final settlement of patient bills.
• Process discharge billing and ensure all charges are included before final bill preparation.
• Verify discounts, concessions, approvals, and adjustments as per hospital policy.
• Coordinate with the insurance and TPA department for billing queries, pre-authorization requirements, and claim-related documentation.
• Maintain accurate billing records and prepare daily billing reports.
• Resolve billing discrepancies and patient or attendant queries professionally.
• Ensure compliance with hospital billing policies and confidentiality requirements.

Educational Qualification

• Graduate in any discipline, preferably B.Com, BBA, or a related field.
• Knowledge of hospital billing procedures and IPD billing software is preferred.

Required Skills

• 2-3 years of experience in hospital IPD billing.
• Good knowledge of hospital billing procedures and discharge billing.
• Familiarity with TPA, insurance, and government health scheme billing is an advantage.
• Basic computer skills, MS Excel, and hospital information systems (HIS/HMS).
• Strong numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and coordinate with multiple departments.
