Billing Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Prepare quantity calculations and measurements as per drawings and site execution.
• Handle BOQ (Bill of Quantities), rate analysis, and cost estimation.
• Verify contractor and subcontractor bills before submission and approval.
• Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, and the accounts department for billing activities.
• Prepare client bills and ensure timely submission of invoices.
• Maintain billing records, measurement books (MB), and supporting documents.
• Check work quantities against approved drawings, BOQ, and actual site measurements.
• Monitor project costs and identify discrepancies in billing and quantities.
• Ensure billing documentation complies with project specifications and contractual requirements.
• Visit project sites when required to verify measurements and completed work.
• Prepare monthly billing reports and update project progress records.

Preferred candidate profile

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
• 2-5 years of experience in billing and quantity estimation in the construction industry.
• Good knowledge of BOQ, RA bills, final bills, and rate analysis.
• Ability to read and interpret civil engineering drawings.
• Experience in quantity surveying, measurement verification, and contractor billing.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and basic knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Good coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coordinate with site engineers, project managers, and the accounts team.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as per company requirements.
• Candidates with experience in infrastructure or government-approved projects will be preferred.
