Job Description of Billing Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation and verification of client RA (Running Account) bills as per contract terms.
• Preparation and certification of subcontractor/vendor bills.
• Quantity take-offs from drawings and site measurements.
• Coordination with site engineers for measurement records and work progress.
• Maintaining billing records and supporting documentation.
• Reconciliation of quantities with BOQ (Bill of Quantities).
• Preparation of variation/extra item statements.
• Tracking project progress for billing milestones.
• Ensuring timely submission of bills and follow-up for payments.
• Supporting project team in cost control and budget monitoring.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Civil / Electrical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech/Diploma).
• 5 to 10 years of experience in billing for infrastructure/building / Metro / Railway projects. (EPC / MEP)
• Strong knowledge of BOQ, rate analysis, and contract conditions.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and billing software.
• Good understanding of project documentation and measurement sheets.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in government or large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with ERP systems.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
