BigCommerce Developer

Role Summary We're hiring two mid-level BigCommerce engineers to build out the B2B portal across our OpCos. The Portal builds / enhancements are in process for all operating companies. You'll be hands-on for all of it — Companies, Quotes, Orders, Account Management, Custom Pricing, Documents.

What You'll Do

• Build B2B portal features end-to-end on **BigCommerce B2B Edition** — Companies, Sales Reps, Quotes, Buyer Approvals, Price Lists, Invoicing, Documents.
• Implement React/Next.js components in the Catalyst storefront for portal flows (Quote Cart, Quick Order, Shopping Lists, Order History, RMA Status).
• Wire portal screens to **OIC**-mediated APIs that talk to JDE / SAP / Salesforce — partner with the Integration Analyst on data contracts.
• Write Playwright tests for every shipped feature; treat green CI as non-negotiable.
• Pair with the Senior BC Developer on code review, design, and shared-component reuse.
• Pick up production support rotation once onboarded.
• Use AI tools as part of your daily flow — we'll provide the licenses, you bring the curiosity.

Must have

• 3-5 years building production web applications in **React** + **TypeScript**.
• 1+ year working with **BigCommerce** — Stencil OR Catalyst, ideally B2B Edition or a comparable B2B commerce stack.
• Strong with **REST + GraphQL APIs**; comfortable reading OpenAPI specs and partnering on contract design.
• Solid CSS skills (Tailwind preferred); accessibility-aware front-end work.
• Git, branching, PR-based workflow; comfortable in a CI/CD environment.
• Curious and proactive about AI-augmented development — Cursor, Copilot, Claude are part of how you work.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with BigCommerce B2B Edition specifically.
• Experience integrating commerce with an ERP (SAP, JDE, Oracle, Dynamics) or CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot, Dynamics).
• Playwright or Cypress test authoring experience.
• Worked on a portal involving Quote, Order, Approval, or Invoicing flows.
• Exposure to Microsoft Fabric or another modern data platform.
