About this role
- Manage and monitor enterprise batch processing across mainframe and distributed platforms, ensuring the successful execution of business-critical banking workloads within SLA timelines.
- Schedule, execute, and troubleshoot batch jobs, resolving failures, dependencies, and performance issues to maintain operational stability and system availability.
- Configure and optimize batch scheduling, workload automation, and resource utilization using enterprise scheduling and workload management tools.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, database, and support teams to investigate production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent resolutions.
- Execute controlled batch changes, including job modifications, scheduling updates, and production deployments, in accordance with ITIL change management and compliance standards.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, audit, and security requirements by maintaining accurate operational documentation, runbooks, recovery procedures, and batch schedules.
- Analyze recurring batch incidents, identify opportunities for automation and process optimization, and implement improvements to enhance system resilience and operational efficiency.
- Support production releases, disaster recovery testing, business continuity planning, and critical month-end/year-end processing activities.
- Monitor batch processing performance, generate operational reports, track KPIs, and recommend continuous improvements to improve reliability and reduce operational risk.
