Background Verification (UK Screening & Compliance)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Background Verification (Screening) to lead a high-performing screening team supporting UK operations. The role involves managing end-to-end employee, contractor, and student candidate screening processes, ensuring compliance with UK screening regulations and delivering exceptional service standards.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Background Verification (BGV), Screening Operations, UK Compliance, BPSS, Team Management, SLA Management, Stakeholder Management, and Process Improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Operations

• Act as the first point of escalation for complex screening queries.
• Ensure high-quality service delivery in line with SLAs and business expectations.
• Handle escalations, complaints, and client issues effectively.

Performance Management

• Monitor team productivity, quality metrics, and service performance.
• Conduct regular team meetings, coaching sessions, and performance reviews.
• Ensure adherence to quality assurance standards and compliance requirements.

Screening & Compliance

• Manage end-to-end screening and clearance processes.
• Ensure compliance with UK screening frameworks and BPSS requirements.
• Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Security Controllers, and Business Leaders.
• Ensure adherence to GDPR and data protection regulations.

Stakeholder Management

• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Work closely with leadership teams on service improvements and operational efficiency.
• Support implementation of process enhancements and automation initiatives.

Training & Development

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for screening processes.
• Drive capability building through training, coaching, and mentoring.
• Support professional and technical development of team members.

• Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and client-driven environment.
