Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Python Backend Developer with 6–10 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining backend applications and REST APIs.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Python 3, asynchronous programming, FastAPI, Flask and Django, along with good knowledge of databases, Unix/Linux environments, API troubleshooting, Git, Nginx, and automated testing.

Exposure to Telecom Network applications will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python 3.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs using FastAPI, Flask and/or Django.
• Work with asynchronous programming and Python async concepts.
• Demonstrate strong understanding of Python fundamentals including:
• Iterators
• Generators
• Context Managers
• Exception handling
• Object-oriented programming
• Develop clean, reusable, maintainable and production-ready code.
• Write unit and integration tests using PyTest and unittest.
• Follow TDD (Test Driven Development) practices where applicable.
• Troubleshoot and analyze API calls, backend issues and application failures.
• Work with Nginx and understand request/API flow between clients, proxies and backend services.
• Work effectively in Unix/Linux environments.
• Use Git for source-code management and collaborative development.
• Design and work with relational and NoSQL/time-series databases.
• Optimize database queries and backend application performance.
• Collaborate with development, QA, DevOps and other technical teams.
