Primary Skills :- Backend Developer, Python, Django

Secondary Skills :- Postgres, AWS

Work Location: Offsite / Home-Based.

Shift Timing: 02:00 PM to 10:00 PM IST.

Mandatory Skills

Strong Python backend development experience (5+ years preferred).

Django framework experience is highly preferred.

Strong backend engineering fundamentals.

Postgres database experience.

Experience developing and maintaining APIs.

Experience working in microservices architecture.

AI tools experience and AI-first development mindset.

Strong ownership, accountability, and team collaboration skills.

Secondary / Preferred Skills

AWS Cloud experience.

Preferred AWS services:

• Lambda
• EC2
• SQS
• SNS

Although AWS is listed as a secondary skill in the job posting, the Hiring Manager emphasized that AWS experience is currently important and candidates with AWS background will be prioritized over Azure or Google Cloud candidates.

Technical Expectations

Strong senior backend developer profile.

Extensive Python development experience.

Experience building backend features and services.

Expertise in APIs, databases, caching, and backend architecture.

Experience implementing complete backend functionality including:

• API development
• Database integration
• Adding/modifying database tables and fields
• Database migrations

Understanding of software design principles and backend architectural best practices.

Ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and enhance features in a microservices environment.

Exposure to enterprise-scale backend systems is preferred.

AI Experience

Candidate should already be comfortable working with AI-assisted development.

Familiarity with AI tools such as Cursor, Claude, or similar platforms.

Understanding of AI workflows, rules, skills, and development productivity practices.

Approximately one year or more of practical AI tool usage is preferred.

Team is not looking for candidates who require complete onboarding into AI-assisted development concepts.
