Backend Operations Manager

About the role

As Store Operations Executive, you'll own everything that happens after a sale: checking quality, packing, shipping, returns, repairs and complaints. You are the last check before a piece leaves our store, so your work decides whether the customer gets a perfect piece on time. You'll work from our Mahanagar store and report directly to the founder.

What you'll do

Quality check

• Inspect every piece before packing: no scratches, stones set properly, prongs and clasps secure, correct size
• Make sure the right certificate goes with every order
• Stop and report any piece that fails the check; never pack it

Packing and dispatch

• Pack every order with the correct box, pouch, authenticity card and invoice
• Print shipping labels and check each one against the order: name, address and pin code
• Photograph every packed order, hand it to the courier, and log the tracking number

Returns, repairs and complaints

• Book return pickups and track them until the piece is back in the store
• Receive repair pieces, report them to the founder, and track them until they're ready to send back
• Log every customer complaint and report it to the founder straight away

What we're looking for

Required:

• At least 1 year in packing, dispatch, warehouse, store or e-commerce operations
• Comfortable using a computer for printing labels, Google Sheets or Excel, and WhatsApp
• Based in Lucknow, able to work 6 days a week from our Aminabad store

Preferred:

• Experience handling jewellery or other high-value products
• Experience with courier booking, shipping labels or returns

What success looks like

• No piece ever leaves without passing quality check and with the right certificate
• Every order packed and shipped on time
• Every return pickup booked within 24 hours of the request
• Every complaint reported to the founder within 1 hour

Pay and working terms

• Salary: 24,000- 25000 per month, based on experience
• Hours: 6 days a week, with a weekly off; some longer days in festive and wedding season
• Leave: 6 casual and 6 sick days a year, plus festival holidays
• Probation: 45 days
