Backend Engineer

Lascade is looking for a talented

Backend Engineer to build secure, scalable, and high-performance backend systems that power our global software products. We’re building AI-powered tools, mobile applications, travel technology, subscription products, and digital services. We’re looking for someone who enjoys solving complex backend challenges, designing scalable architectures, and building systems that support millions of users. What You’ll Do • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs. • Build secure authentication, authorization, and user management systems. • Design efficient database structures and optimize queries for performance. • Develop integrations with third-party services, APIs, payment gateways, and external platforms. • Build background jobs, scheduled tasks, queues, and event-driven workflows. • Improve system performance, scalability, reliability, and security. • Collaborate with Product Managers, Mobile Engineers, Product Engineers, and AI Engineers to build new features. • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices. • Monitor application performance and troubleshoot production issues. • Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to long-term technical decisions. • Continuously improve development processes and engineering standards.

What We’re Looking For • 3+ years of experience in Backend Development. • Strong understanding of API design and backend architecture. • Experience building RESTful APIs and modern backend services. • Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases. • Experience working with authentication, authorization, caching, and messaging systems. • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and scalable application design. • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills. • Experience working with Git and collaborative development workflows. • Passion for building reliable, secure, and scalable products.

Nice to Have • Experience building SaaS platforms or high-traffic applications. • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure. • Experience with Docker, containers, or CI/CD pipelines. • Knowledge of GraphQL, WebSockets, or event-driven architectures. • Experience integrating AI services or machine learning APIs. • Startup experience or experience building products from scratch.
