Backend Engineer

Role Description We are looking for an elite, hands on Backend Engineer (3+ Years Experience) who can build, optimize, and scale the mission critical core engines that ingest, process, and aggregate massive streams of real time infrastructure telemetry, workload utilization metrics, and complex system data.

As a Backend Engineer, you will:

• Lead the architectural design and implementation of our core backend services, ensuring rock solid data ingestion, scalable microservices, and clean system architecture.
• Architect robust real time data pipelines capable of handling heavy, multi layered telemetry streams and high frequency writes without bottlenecks.
• Translate complex infrastructure mechanics and multi-dimensional tracking rules into optimized database queries, fast caching layers, and high-fidelity analytical services.
• Work closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and platform architects to design clean, high-performance API contracts and deliver flawless data delivery.
• Implement deep server-side performance tuning, optimizing memory management, execution cycles, network overhead, and database index strategies to minimize compute latency.
• Maintain rigorous backend code quality standards, establishing scalable software design patterns, thorough integration testing workflows, and clean, self documenting code.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience building and scaling complex, high throughput distributed backend services or SaaS platforms, with 3+ years of professional backend engineering experience.
• Strong hands on experience with Java, preferably with the latest JDK versions, alongside practical experience building backend services using Spring Boot.
• Experience designing and developing REST APIs, microservices, and backend business logic.
• Strong working knowledge of PostgreSQL, including schema design, query optimization, and database integration.
• Hands on experience with Kafka or similar message/event streaming systems.
• Good understanding of backend security, authentication, authorization standards, and data encryption.
• Good understanding of system design, scalable backend architecture, and distributed systems basics.
• Proven ability to debug complex production issues, performance bottlenecks, integration problems, and data flow issues.
• Experience with Git, Docker, unit testing, integration testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a track record of working closely with frontend, cloud, infrastructure, and QA teams in high velocity engineering environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of ClickHouse for analytics or high volume data storage.
• Experience with Apache Flink or similar stream processing frameworks.
• Experience handling telemetry, event streams, or high volume data pipelines.
• Experience with Keycloak or similar identity and access management platforms.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, with an understanding of compute and memory resource management.
• Interest in using AI tools responsibly to drastically improve developer productivity while maintaining elite engineering quality.
