Backend Engineer

We are looking for an experienced SDE III Backend Developer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, and cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performance backend applications while ensuring reliability, security, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build secure, high-performance REST APIs and manage the API lifecycle.
• Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms using Spring Security and OAuth 2.0.
• Design and optimize database schemas, data models, and queries using Couchbase and PostgreSQL.
• Perform database performance tuning and troubleshoot application bottlenecks.
• Deploy, configure, and manage cloud-native applications in Microsoft Azure environments.
• Implement containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment practices.
• Establish application monitoring, centralized logging, and observability using Splunk and New Relic.
• Diagnose production issues, analyze application logs, and improve system performance and reliability.
• Apply microservices design principles and cloud-native architecture best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and deliver reliable backend solutions.
• Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, technical design discussions, and engineering best practices.
• Contribute to performance engineering, scalability optimization, and system resilience.
• Follow DevOps and SRE practices to improve deployment efficiency and service reliability.

Requirements:

• Relevant backend development experience with strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, API security, databases, and cloud deployment. The exact experience range should be confirmed with the hiring team.
• The ideal candidate should have strong backend engineering fundamentals, experience building secure and scalable enterprise applications, knowledge of cloud-native systems, and the ability to contribute to technical design and production reliability.
