Backend Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build highly available, fault-tolerant systems capable of handling high traffic and large data volumes.
• Design clean, efficient, and secure RESTful APIs and service contracts.
• Develop and maintain microservices and ensure effective service-to-service communication.
• Work closely with frontend, product, and design teams to deliver end-to-end product features.
• Optimize application performance, latency, throughput, and resource utilization.
• Implement appropriate database and caching strategies using MySQL/PostgreSQL, Redis, and other data stores.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code while following coding standards and best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, system design, and architectural decisions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while ensuring application reliability and uptime.
• Own backend services end-to-end, including development, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and cloud infrastructure to support reliable deployments.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to implement monitoring, logging, security, and observability best practices.
