Backend Engineer

We are looking for a Backend Engineer with strong experience in Ruby on Rails and Python to build scalable systems, APIs, and integrations that power our core product.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain scalable Ruby on Rails applications and RESTful APIs.
• Implement background jobs using Sidekiq/Delayed Job for async processing.
• Use Redis for caching, job queues, and performance optimization.
• Design efficient database schemas and write optimized SQL queries.
• Architect scalable systems balancing performance and reliability.
• Develop secure, versioned APIs.
• Write unit and integration tests and contribute to CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Requirements:

• 3-5+ years of experience in Ruby on Rails and/or Python.
• Strong understanding of MVC architecture.
• Experience with Sidekiq/Delayed Job.
• Experience with Redis.
• Strong knowledge of MySQL/PostgreSQL.
• Experience in API design and security.
• Understanding of system design and scalability.
• Familiarity with Git, Docker, and AWS.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with microservices or event-driven architecture.
• Knowledge of Terraform/CloudFormation.
• Experience in startup/product-based companies.
