Backend Engineer, Health Data Integrations

About us CareNav automates hospital insurance claim workflows for mid size private hospitals across India. We handle document collection, AI driven claim validation, query response and coordination between billing staff, doctors and patients. We are early stage, live with our first hospitals, and building the rails for how claims move in Indian healthcare.

The role You will own our ABDM and NHCX integrations end to end. That means ABHA flows, consent management, Fidelius encryption, the health claims exchange and the certification process that comes with all of it. This is standards heavy infrastructure work and it sits at the core of our product.

What you will do

• Build and maintain integrations with ABDM, NHCX and TPA or insurer systems
• Take features from sandbox through certification and into live hospital use
• Own consent, encryption and transaction flows across the claim lifecycle
• Investigate and fix integration issues as they come up
• Work closely with the founders on what to build next

What we are looking for

• 3+ years of production experience with Python, Django/DRF, Celery and Postgres
• Exposure to ABDM, NHCX, FHIR or any government health or fintech sandbox, or genuine excitement to go deep on one
• Comfort debugging encryption and consent issues
• Ability to work independently in an early stage setup

Nice to have Prior healthtech or insurance domain experience Familiarity with AWS, DigitalOcean or similar cloud infra
