Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Backend Developer role based in the Greater Chennai Area. The Backend Developer will design, build, and maintain server-side applications and APIs that power high-scale D2C operations. Daily responsibilities include implementing robust data models, optimizing application performance, integrating with internal and external services, and ensuring reliability, security, and scalability of backend systems. The role collaborates closely with front-end engineers, product teams, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into efficient technical solutions. The Backend Developer will also participate in code reviews, contribute to architectural decisions, and continuously improve development practices and tooling.
Qualifications
- Strong back-end web development skills, including building APIs and server-side services.
- Solid software development experience with modern languages and frameworks.
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming (OOP) and clean, modular code design.
- Programming fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
- Ability to collaborate with front-end development teams and understand client–server interactions.
- Experience with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), caching, and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with microservices, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Comfort with version control systems (e.g., Git) and code review processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
