Job Description About the Role We are seeking a skilled and motivated

Backend Developer with 3–5 years of professional experience in

Python, Django, Django REST Framework, and PostgreSQL . The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and optimizing backend services for an enterprise SaaS application. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving ability, attention to code quality, and the ability to collaborate effectively with Product, Frontend, QA, and DevOps teams. This is a full-time, on-site position.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python and Django.
• Build and maintain secure, reliable, and well-documented REST APIs using Django REST Framework.
• Design and optimize PostgreSQL database schemas, queries, indexes, and relationships.
• Translate functional and business requirements into reliable technical solutions.
• Develop authentication, authorization, user management, and role-based access control features.
• Integrate third-party services and external APIs.
• Write clean, modular, reusable, and maintainable code in accordance with established coding standards.
• Identify and resolve application performance issues, database bottlenecks, and production defects.
• Write unit tests and support functional, integration, regression, and API testing.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives.
• Work closely with frontend developers to ensure seamless integration between backend services and user interfaces.
• Collaborate with QA engineers to investigate defects, perform root-cause analysis, and deliver timely fixes.
• Coordinate with DevOps teams for application deployment, monitoring, and production support.
• Maintain appropriate technical documentation for APIs, database changes, integrations, and application workflows.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, system architecture, security, and engineering practices.

Requirements Required Skills and Experience

• 3–5 years of professional backend development experience using Python.
• Strong hands-on experience with Django and Django REST Framework.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, including database design, relationships, indexing, and query optimization.
• Experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Good understanding of Django ORM and database migration management.
• Experience implementing authentication and authorization mechanisms, including JWT or token-based authentication.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, and software design principles.
• Experience with Git-based version control, branching strategies, pull requests, and code reviews.
• Ability to write unit tests and troubleshoot application issues.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development practices.
• Experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional software development environment.
• Good understanding of application security, data validation, exception handling, and secure coding practices.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Redis and Celery for caching, task queues, and background processing.
• Working knowledge of Docker and containerized application development.
• Familiarity with Linux, Nginx, and Gunicorn.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and CloudWatch.
• Familiarity with PyTest or other Python testing frameworks.
• Experience developing multi-tenant SaaS applications.
• Knowledge of WebSockets, real-time notifications, or asynchronous processing.
• Experience with application monitoring, logging, and performance profiling.
• Familiarity with API documentation tools such as Swagger or OpenAPI.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Candidates with equivalent practical experience and strong technical expertise may also be considered.
