Backend Developer - Python

Role & responsibilities

• Design and build data ingestion pipelines for lab results, wearable data, clinical documents, and device streams.
• Develop well-versioned, well-documented REST APIs consumed by mobile, web, and AI services.
• Implement FHIR-based integrations and mappings (Observation, DiagnosticReport, Patient, MedicationRequest) with external labs and health systems.
• Design relational and time-series data models for clinical and continuous sensor data.
• Build entity resolution, deduplication, and data provenance into the data platform.
• Implement encryption, fine-grained access control, and audit logging across all services.
• Optimize database performance: indexing, query tuning, partitioning, and migrations under load.
• Collaborate with clinical, product, and AI teams in Agile delivery cycles.

Preferred candidate profile

• Prior experience at a health-tech, diagnostics, telehealth, or medical device company.
• Event streaming (Kafka or similar) and data pipeline orchestration.
• Familiarity with health data regulation and data residency requirements.
• Startup experience with a fast-learning, go-getter mindset and an interest in health and longevity.
