Backend Developer-Python and AWS

We are looking for a strong Backend Engineer with Python and AWS experience.

About the role

Build and maintain the backend integration layer connecting our agentic orchestrator to enterprise HR systems, with a strong focus on Python-based development and APIs.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain API integration wrappers for HR systems (REST, SOAP, country-specific protocols) using Python.
• Build Python-based tools, connectors, and services consumed by LangGraph/LangChain orchestrators.
• Maintain and enhance the ServiceNow Azure AI Search vectorisation pipeline.
• Implement and support CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows on Azure (GitHub Actions / Azure DevOps).
• Ensure integrations meet security, PII masking, and access-control requirements.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize backend integration performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with architects and cross-functional teams on design, testing, and rollout.

Required qualifications & skills

• 58 years software engineering experience; 3+ years in backend API/cloud integration.
• Strong Python backend development skills, building and maintaining RESTful and SOAP APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Azure services (App Service, Functions, APIM, AI Search) or equivalent AWS cloud services.
• Experience with CI/CD and containerization (Jenkins/Groovy, GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes/ECS).
• Familiarity with Postgres, Redis, and vector databases.
• Solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code, serverless and cloud-native architectures, and security/PII handling.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and system-design skills.
• Experience with LangChain/LangGraph and ServiceNow integrations.
