About this role
About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and self-driven Backend Developer to join our Blockchain team. The team works across multiple technology projects, including backend platforms, blockchain-based solutions, digital identity, enterprise applications, data privacy, and other emerging technology initiatives.
The candidate should be able to understand technical requirements, develop robust backend solutions, and independently take assigned modules from development through testing and deployment.
Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable and secure backend applications and APIs.
- Take end-to-end ownership of assigned features and backend modules.
- Develop REST APIs, microservices, integrations, and backend services.
- Design and work with SQL/NoSQL databases and data models.
- Integrate backend systems with external APIs, enterprise systems, and blockchain networks.
- Implement authentication, authorization, encryption, and other security best practices.
- Work closely with frontend, mobile, blockchain, DevOps, QA, and cybersecurity teams.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, optimize application performance, and support deployment and maintenance.
- Deliver assigned tasks within agreed timelines and communicate technical dependencies and challenges proactively.
- Prepare relevant technical and API documentation.
- Strong experience in backend development and API development.
- Proficiency in one or more backend technologies: Node.js, Python, or Go.
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, SQL/NoSQL databases, and data modeling.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD, Linux, and application deployment.
- Good understanding of SDLC, application security, and secure coding practices.
- Knowledge of DPDP, data privacy, consent management, or data protection principles.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka/RabbitMQ, or API gateways such as WSO2.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP and scalable cloud deployments.
- Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and automated backend testing.
- Familiarity with Blockchain technologies, Hyperledger Fabric, Ethereum, smart contracts, or Web3.
- Exposure to cybersecurity, VAPT, or vulnerability remediation.
- B.Tech / B.E. / M.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of relevant professional experience in backend development.
- Experience in privacy, data protection, blockchain, digital identity, or cybersecurity will be an advantage.
- Strong ownership and accountability.
- Ability to independently manage and complete assigned responsibilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving approach.
- Clear communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work across multiple projects and adapt to new technologies.
- Travel may be required across locations for project execution, monitoring, and team coordination.
