Role: Associate Back Office Operations (Defined Benefits Pension Claim Processing)

Claim Processing

Retirement, Bereavement, Transfers

Responsibilities:

Claim Processing.

Process and validate member events for one or more of the processes below -

Retirement (including Ill Health)

Bereavement (including death processing for Active, Deferred, and Retired members) Death of beneficiaries, ex-spouses etc.

Transfers (including Transfer In and Transfer Out for both Club & Non-club and CETV)

Process and validate events for Pension on Divorce, Benefits Authorizations, Elections, Re-employment and other key pension processes.

Ensure accurate calculations and maintain clear, empathetic member communications/templates.

Operations Delivery & SLA Management

Execute daily casework for DB pension events and ensure timely delivery against client SLAs/TATs.Monitor personal work queues, publish progress updates, and support recovery plans for SLA variances.

Documentation: SOPs & Process Manuals:

Create, update, and version-control SOPs/process manuals; apply change control and ensure accessibility.

Internal Quality & Compliance

Comply with UK pensions administration standards and client governance requirements.
