Job Title: Back-end Software Development Engineering Engineer III Location: Chennai

Work Type: Hybrid (4 Days work From Office) Position Description

Experience Required

• Engineer III Exp: Proficient In 2 coding lang. or adv. Prac. in 1 lang.
• 6+ years in IT; 4+ years in development

Experience Preferred Technical Skills and Experience required (Key requirements):

• 5+ years of work experience in Spring Platform (Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring JDBC, Spring Cloud), REST APIs, and Cloud Native Development on Cloud Platforms
• Strong Java/JEE Object-Oriented Development experience and expertise in building microservices architectures on the JVM platform with a good understanding of design patterns
• Experience in RESTful Web Services development on Cloud platforms and Apigee
• Expertise in Cloud Platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), CaaS, and CloudRun
• Strong expertise in RDBMS and SQL (MSSQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.)
• Strong working experience with ORM frameworks such as Hibernate and JPA
• Experience with Enterprise SSO technologies including ADFS, SAML, and Cloud-based security
• Expertise in Source Control Repositories (GitHub or equivalent)
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies, including Agile SCRUM
• Proficiency in DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines including Jenkins, Tekton Pipeline, and Gradle
• Experience with clean code principles such as Test-Driven Development (TDD) and writing Unit, Integration, and Acceptance test cases
• Familiarity with Security tools (SAST/DAST) and static code analyzers such as Checkmarx, FOSSA, SonarQube, and 42Crunch
• Exposure to Cloud Monitoring and logging tools such as SPLUNK and Dynatrace
• Proficiency with Java editor tools such as Eclipse, IntelliJ, or STS Nice to Have:
• Relevant cloud certifications (GCP, AWS, Azure, etc.)
• Experience in the Automotive or Manufacturing industry
• Knowledge of Supply Chain systems and integrations with ERP platforms such as SAP S/4 HANA

• Engage with business to understand their use-cases and requirements
• Solve complex problems by designing, developing, and delivering solutions using various tools, languages, frameworks, and technologies
• Align with architecture guidelines for a unified and coherent approach to development
• Design, develop, and deliver new code using various tools, languages, frameworks, and technologies
• Develop and maintain back-end applications like APIs and microservices
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user interface elements and with cross-functional teams including product owners, designers, and architects
• Manage application deployment to the cloud or on-prem, including health and performance monitoring, security hardening, and disaster recovery for deployed applications
• Manage data storage and retrieval in applications by utilizing database technologies
• Promote improvements in programming practices, such as test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous delivery
• Optimize back-end infrastructure and deployment practices to improve application resiliency and reliability
• Support security practices to safeguard user data, including encryption and anonymization
• Conduct proof-of-concepts to support new features and ensure quality and timely delivery using Agile practices
• Collaborate directly and continuously with product managers and product owners to prioritize deliverables, with a focus on business and user value, continuous improvement, and an innovative mindset.
