Back End Developer

Position- Sr Software Engineer (Node.js) Exp- 5+ yrs Location- Pune (Balewadi/ 5 days work from office) Budget- upto 18 lacs

Role summary You will own the design, development, and delivery of core modules on company’s enterprise SaaS platform. The work is primarily backend APIs, database architecture, background services, and integrations with frontend involvement when features require full-stack ownership.

Backend development ● Design and build server-side architecture: APIs, data models, background jobs, and third-party integrations ● Write effective RESTful APIs using Python or Node.js that serve both the web application and mobile clients ● Design and manage MongoDB databases schema design, indexing, query optimisation, and data integrity at scale, etc. ● Build and maintain background services and data pipelines that process high-volume data reliably and efficiently ● Implement security and data protection measures appropriate for enterprise clients

Frontend contribution ● Contribute to the frontend using Vue.js when features require full-stack ownership, you should be comfortable building and maintaining frontend components ● Ensure application responsiveness and performance across browsers and devices

Must-have skills ● 4–7 years of professional software development experience with a strong backend focus ● Proficiency in writing APIs using Python or Node.js you should be able to design, build, and optimise APIs independently ● Hands-on experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases including schema design, aggregation pipelines, and performance tuning ● Working knowledge of frontend development with Vue.js enough to own full-stack features when needed ● Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and deployment workflows ● Ability to write clean, testable, well-documented code and conduct thorough code reviews ● Clear communication skills you can explain technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders and write documentation that others can follow

Good-to-have skills ● AI assisted coding workflows. ● Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / GCP) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) ● Exposure to microservices architecture, event-driven systems, or message queues ● Experience building data pipelines or working with high-volume data processing ● Prior experience in SaaS or enterprise product companies ● Familiarity with ML/AI integration at the application layer
