Job Purpose Provide backend engineering capacity to design, build, and maintain secure, scalable modules and APIs. Support procurement, ERP, and financial workflows by implementing workflow services, business rules, and evaluation systems in document‑heavy environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Core module development : Design and implement backend modules that handle procurement workflows, supplier management, and evaluation services. Ensure modules are modular, reusable, and optimized for performance.
• API design and integration : Build RESTful APIs that enable seamless communication between frontend applications and backend services. Apply versioning, documentation, and error‑handling best practices.
• Workflow services : Implement backend logic for tender processes, supplier onboarding, planning, and evaluation workflows. Ensure workflows are configurable and auditable.
• Database management : Write optimized SQL queries, design schemas, and manage indexes to ensure high‑performance data retrieval. Apply normalization and data integrity principles.
• Unit testing : Develop automated unit tests for backend modules and APIs. Ensure high code coverage and maintain regression test suites.
• Secure coding : Apply secure coding standards to prevent vulnerabilities such as SQL injection, XSS, and CSRF. Conduct code reviews with a focus on security.
• Clean architecture : Structure backend systems using layered architecture principles. Separate concerns between business logic, data access, and presentation layers for maintainability.

Mandatory Skills (4–8 Years)

• Backend development : Proven experience in building scalable backend systems with modular design.
• REST APIs : Strong expertise in designing, documenting, and maintaining RESTful APIs with authentication and authorization.
• SQL : Advanced knowledge of relational databases, query optimization, and schema design.
• Unit testing : Hands‑on experience with frameworks like JUnit, NUnit, or PyTest to ensure code reliability.
• Secure coding : Familiarity with OWASP standards and secure coding practices.
• Clean architecture : Ability to design systems with clear separation of concerns, ensuring maintainability and scalability.

Preferred Skills

• Cloud platforms : Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP for backend deployments and scaling.
• CI/CD pipelines : Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps for automated build and deployment.
• Containerization : Hands‑on with Docker and Kubernetes for packaging and orchestrating backend services.
• Message queues : Familiarity with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar tools for event‑driven architectures.
• Performance optimization : Skills in profiling backend applications, tuning queries, and scaling services.
• Security frameworks : Knowledge of OAuth2, JWT, and enterprise security standards for API protection.
• ERP integration : Experience integrating backend services with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle.
• Document management : Exposure to handling large volumes of structured/unstructured documents in backend systems.
