Back End Developer

Experience: 7+ Years (2+ Years in Leadership) About the Role WrkTalk is hiring a

Lead Backend Engineer to own and scale the backend architecture of its enterprise communication platform. This is a hands-on leadership role involving system design, team mentoring, architectural decisions, and building high-performance, secure, real-time communication systems. Key Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable backend systems using

Golang and

NestJS (Node.js) .

• Architect and maintain

microservices ,

Real time systems - WebSockets/WebRTC , and distributed systems.

• Optimize

PostgreSQL ,

Redis ,

Kafka and application performance.

• Lead code reviews, engineering best practices, and CI/CD processes.
• Mentor backend engineers and drive technical excellence.
• Collaborate with Product, Frontend, and DevOps teams. Required Skills
• 7+ years of backend development experience.
• 2+ years leading engineering teams.
• Strong expertise in

Golang ,

Node.js/NestJS .

• Experience with

Microservices ,

WebSockets ,

PostgreSQL ,

Redis .

• Good knowledge of

Docker ,

Kubernetes , and cloud-native deployments.

• Strong system design and architecture experience. Preferred Background
• Product-based company experience.
• Experience building real-time, high-scale applications.
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to lead technical decisions. Ideal Candidate A hands-on Engineering Lead who can both
