Job Title: Senior Backend Engineer (Python)

Location: Bengaluru, India (Onsite)

Employment Type: Client contract for 1+ year, with full-time employment through Matchpoint.

Experience Required: 7+ years of software engineering experience

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with strong Python expertise to

design and build scalable backend systems powering high-performance web applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience developing robust APIs, working with real-time systems, and delivering reliable, production-grade backend services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python Build and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices
• Implement real-time communication systems (WebSockets) where required Ensure high performance, reliability, and security of backend systems
• Collaborate with frontend and cross-functional teams for end-to-end delivery Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code Drive performance tuning, monitoring, and debugging in production environments

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 6+ years of backend development experience
• Strong proficiency in Python Experience building REST APIs and microservices architectures
• Solid understanding of WebSockets and real-time backend integrations
• Experience working with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and caching systems Strong understanding of distributed systems fundamentals
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality, production-ready backend applications

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with internal platform standards, large-scale systems, and high-availability architectures
