Job Description:   Required Skill Set & Competencies: 1. Agile & Technical Delivery Expertise Agile & Lean Mastery: Deep operational experience in Scrum, Kanban, and scaling frameworks across complex digital transformations. Proven track record leading delivery teams that build, integrate, or utilize AI capabilities (LLMs, GenAI tools, automated code generation) in enterprise workflows. Lifecycle Management: Proven track record managing software/cloud engineering projects through Discovery, Alpha, Beta, and Live stages. Technical & Commercial Acumen: Ability to translate complex technical concepts (cloud infrastructure, API integrations, low-code platforms like Appian) into non-technical business language. 2. Public Sector & Framework Knowledge GDS Service Standard Knowledge: Familiarity with UK Government Digital and Data Profession (DDaT) frameworks and GDS assessment gates. Governance & Security Awareness: Experience navigating strict regulatory, accessibility (WCAG), and cybersecurity environments (Zero Trust, ISO 27001). 3. Leadership & Soft Skills Matrix Team Leadership: Ability to manage multidisciplinary squads (developers, QA engineers, UX researchers, business analysts) without direct line authority. Persuasive Communication & Stakeholder Alignment: Strong negotiation skills for managing client expectations, scope creep, and SLAs. Problem-Solving & Resilience: Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-paced environments where scope and requirements evolve rapidly.
