Azure DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a Azure DevOps Engineer with 10+ years of total IT experience with 5+ years in Azure DevOps / Cloud Automation roles.

Responsibilities: Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Automation

• Design and maintain Azure infrastructure using Terraform, focusing on modular, reusable, and version-controlled deployments.
• Develop and optimize YAML-based Azure DevOps pipelines for automated infrastructure and application delivery.
• Implement automation for provisioning, scaling, and managing resources securely and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with governance, security, and cost optimization standards.

Databricks Administration

• Manage Azure Databricks workspaces, clusters, access control, and integration with other Azure components
• Automate Databricks deployments using Terraform and integrate with CI/CD workflows.
• Support data engineering and analytics teams through infrastructure automation.

CI/CD & DevOps Enablement

• Architect and maintain CI/CD pipelines integrating SonarQube for static code analysis and continuous quality checks.
• Implement GitOps deployment workflows using Argo CD for seamless application delivery to AKS clusters.
• Automate testing, build, and release processes for containerized and data workloads.
• Troubleshoot and optimize build/deployment issues for reliability and scalability.

Azure Infrastructure Management

• Administer Azure resources including VNets, Load Balancers, App Services, Key Vault, Storage Accounts, and Azure AD.
• Apply RBAC, networking, and resource governance best practices.
• Perform performance tuning, monitoring, and cost optimization across Azure environments.

Monitoring, Quality & Security

• Integrate SonarQube for continuous code scanning and vulnerability analysis.
• Configure Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics for proactive monitoring.
• Enforce DevSecOps practices with secrets management and compliance validation in pipelines.

Collaboration & Leadership

• Work closely with architecture, data engineering, and security teams to implement end-to-end DevOps strategies.
• Document automation standards, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote DevOps best practices across distributed teams.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of total IT experience with 5+ years in Azure DevOps / Cloud Automation roles.
• Strong hands-on expertise in:
• Terraform (modules, workspaces, backends, state management).
• Azure DevOps Pipelines with YAML scripting.
• Argo CD and GitOps-based deployments for AKS.
• Azure administration (RBAC, networking, storage, cost governance).
• Databricks workspace and cluster management.
• SonarQube integration for code quality assurance.
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and Helm.
• Scripting proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Azure Bicep, ARM Templates, or Ansible.
• Exposure to Azure Data Factory and Synapse CI/CD automation.

• Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
• HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
