Azure DevOps Engineer with FiftyOne Role Summary We are seeking an Azure DevOps Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and platform automation for deploying and running FiftyOne and related services on Azure and Kubernetes (AKS). The role requires strong cloud and container expertise, a focus on automation and reliability, and the ability to drive platform improvements. Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for model and application delivery (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar). Deploy and operate FiftyOne and associated services on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), ensuring reliability, scalability, and cost-efficiency. Author and maintain infrastructure as code (Terraform, Bicep, or similar) for networking, compute, storage, and managed services on Azure. Automate build, release, and environment provisioning workflows to support development, QA, and production use cases. Implement observability and alerting (logs, metrics, traces) to ensure timely detection and resolution of incidents. Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, and software teams to streamline model packaging, deployment, and monitoring. Drive security best practices across cloud resources, container images, secrets management, and CI/CD pipelines. Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes. Contribute to platform documentation, runbooks, and onboarding materials; support knowledge sharing across the team. Requirements 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, site reliability engineering, or cloud infrastructure roles. Direct experience deploying or operating FiftyOne or other ML dataset/model inspection tools. Strong experience with Microsoft Azure services, including AKS, Azure Storage, networking, and managed services. Proven experience deploying and operating Kubernetes at scale (AKS preferred), including Helm and cluster lifecycle management. Advanced knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Bicep, and experience managing IaC at scale. Experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or comparable tools. Solid scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, or similar) and familiarity with configuration management patterns. Experience with containerization (Docker) and image lifecycle/security best practices. Familiarity with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, or equivalent) and incident response processes. Strong understanding of cloud security concepts, identity and access management, and secrets handling. Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating across engineering, data science, and product teams. Nice to Have Experience with GitOps tools (Argo CD, Flux) or deployment strategies like blue/green and canary releases. Exposure to service meshes (Istio, Linkerd) and advanced networking patterns in Kubernetes. Experience with cost optimization and capacity planning on Azure.
