About this role
Responsibilities
- Define and implement a standardized CI/CD framework aligned to trunk-first development and immutable deployment principles
- Establish maturity model for pipelines, including progressive adoption of automation and controls (L0 to L3)
- Define and enforce branching strategy, PR standards, and pipeline governance
- Design reusable pipeline templates to ensure consistency across all applications
- Introduce and operationalize soft gates and hard gates, aligned to release confidence and risk levels
- Embed engineering standards into CI/CD pipelines, including:
- Code quality and maintainability (SonarQube)
- Security scanning (Snyk, WIZ, DAST)
- Dependency and vulnerability management
- Ensure all pipelines enforce required controls before merge and release
- Define release candidate criteria and gating expectations
- Drive build once, promote discipline across environments
- Lead integration of core engineering tools into pipelines, including:
- Azure DevOps (repos, pipelines, branch policies)
- Git-based workflows and PR enforcement
- SonarQube quality gates
- Snyk for SCA/SAST
- WIZ for secrets and security posture
- DAST for runtime vulnerability scanning
- Automate workflows to reduce manual effort and improve reliability
- Build reusable skills and automation patterns to support PR validation, documentation as code, and compliance checks
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
- Create modular, reusable YAML templates for build, test, and release pipelines
- Implement automated testing integration, including unit, integration, and security testing
- Ensure observability is built into pipelines, including logging, metrics, and failure diagnostics
- Troubleshoot pipeline issues and optimize performance
- Partner with Service Managers and engineering teams to drive adoption of CI/CD standards
- Ensure each service tower implements defined templates and practices
- Provide hands-on support to onboard applications to the standardized pipeline model
- Establish feedback loops to continuously improve pipeline design and usability
- Define pipeline-level metrics aligned to DORA and engineering KPIs
- Establish visibility into pipeline performance, failure rates, and deployment frequency
- Ensure compliance with defined standards through reporting and audits
- Partner with PMO and Architecture to align governance with engineering signals, not milestone tracking
Required Experience and Skills
Technical Expertise
- Deep experience with Azure DevOps including pipelines, repos, and branch policies
- Strong hands-on experience with Git-based development and trunk-first strategies
- Advanced knowledge of CI/CD design patterns, pipeline templating, and automation
- Strong experience integrating SonarQube
- Strong experience integrating Snyk
- Wiz
- Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST)
Engineering Practices
- Strong understanding of full SDLC and modern engineering practices
- Experience implementing trunk-first development and PR governance
- Deep familiarity with CI/CD controls, quality gates, and release management practices
- Experience embedding security and quality into pipelines as first-class concerns
Leadership and Delivery
- Proven ability to define strategy and execute hands-on
- Experience driving standardization across multiple teams or service towers
- Strong ability to influence without direct authority
- Experience working in complex, vendor-heavy environments

- Standardized CI/CD pipelines implemented across all service towers
