Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Azure Databricks Developer / Data Engineer with strong expertise in Python, PySpark, SQL, and Kafka. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and data processing solutions on Microsoft Azure. The candidate should have hands-on experience with big data technologies, real-time data streaming, ETL/ELT processes, and cloud-based data engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Databricks and PySpark.
• Develop data processing and transformation logic using Python and SQL.
• Implement real-time and streaming data ingestion solutions using Apache Kafka.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows for batch and streaming data processing.
• Work with Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 and other Azure data services.
• Develop complex SQL queries, perform data validation, and troubleshoot data quality issues.
• Optimize Spark jobs, cluster configurations, and queries for performance and cost efficiency.
• Implement data integration solutions across multiple source systems.
• Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and other engineering teams to deliver reliable data solutions.
• Follow best practices for data security, monitoring, error handling, and production support.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation.
• Knowledge of Kafka integration with Spark Structured Streaming.
• Familiarity with Unity Catalog, data governance, and access controls.
• Experience with monitoring, troubleshooting, and production support.
• Understanding of data warehousing, lakehouse architecture, and distributed computing.
