Azure Data Architect

Good to Have Skills :

• Azure Data Certifications / Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Databricks Data Engineer Professional 
• Comfortable with Git, DevOps/CI-CD for data, Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/ARM) and PowerShell/bash.
• Experience in Power BI, Microsoft Azure operational and monitoring tools including Azure Monitor, App Insights and Log Analytics will be an added advantage.
  
• Exposure to streaming/real-time architecture, MDM, AI/ML and GenAI enablement on the data platform.

Must Have Skills : 

• 10+ years of overall data experience, with proven experience architecting and delivering large-scale data platforms on Azure (Azure Data Factory, Databricks/Spark, Azure Data Lake, Synapse/Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL Database).
  
• Strong expertise in data modelling (conceptual, logical, physical), Lakehouse/Medallion and Data Warehousing architecture patterns, and advanced SQL.
  
• Experience defining end-to-end solution architecture, integration patterns, non-functional requirements, performance tuning and cost optimization for cloud data workloads.
  
• Hands-on with data governance, security and access control (Unity Catalog / Purview, RBAC, encryption, masking) and platform compliance standards.
  
• Ability to engage senior stakeholders, run architecture/design reviews and mentor engineering teams.

Job description :

• Define and own the end-to-end Azure data platform architecture, translating business requirements into scalable solution designs and target-state blueprints
• Establish data modelling, ingestion, transformation and integration standards; conduct design/code reviews and guide engineering teams through implementation
• Define observability, performance, reliability and cost-optimization (FinOps) practices for data pipelines and platform workloads
• Drive data governance, security and compliance for the platform, covering cataloguing, lineage, access control and data quality frameworks
• Partner with business and IT stakeholders on roadmap, technology evaluations, effort/cost estimates and architecture governance forums; mentor engineers and build team capability
