Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, and maintain APIs using Azure API Management (APIM).
• Implement APIM policies for authentication, authorization, rate limiting, throttling, caching, routing, and transformations.
• Design and manage RESTful APIs and enterprise integration solutions.
• Configure API products, subscriptions, versions, revisions, and developer access.
• Implement API security using OAuth 2.0, JWT, certificates, subscription keys, and related authentication mechanisms.
• Integrate APIM with Azure services and backend applications.
• Troubleshoot API performance, connectivity, authentication, and integration issues.
• Monitor APIs and identify opportunities for performance and reliability improvements.
• Work closely with architects, developers, DevOps, security, and application teams.
• Support API deployments and CI/CD processes across multiple environments.

Required Skills

• 8–10 years of overall IT/software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure API Management (APIM).
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, XML, HTTP/HTTPS, and API lifecycle management.
• Experience implementing APIM policies and API security.
• Good knowledge of OAuth 2.0, JWT, OpenID Connect, and certificate-based authentication.
• Experience with Azure integration and cloud services.
• Understanding of API monitoring, logging, error handling, and troubleshooting.
• Experience working with CI/CD and Azure DevOps is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
