AWS Senior Engineer (3rd Party Payroll)

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and configure AWS Bedrock implementation components including Knowledge Bases, Agents, Guardrails, prompts, model invocation flows, and application integration services.
• Develop and test RAG pipelines covering data ingestion, chunking, embeddings, vector indexing, metadata enrichment, retrieval tuning, and response validation.
• Develop serverless and integration components using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB/RDS, OpenSearch/vector stores, IAM policies, CloudWatch logs, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement automation scripts, Terraform/CloudFormation templates, deployment configuration, environment setup, and reusable implementation assets.
• Execute prompt testing, retrieval testing, model output validation, guardrail testing, API testing, integration testing, and defect fixes during implementation sprints.
• Prepare technical documentation, configuration notes, deployment instructions, test evidence, demo scripts, and knowledge transfer materials.
• Coordinate with onsite teams for backlog clarification, build priorities, implementation status, issue resolution, and handoff of completed deliverables.
• Follow Cognizant delivery standards, client security requirements, responsible AI guidelines, and approved implementation governance processes.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 6+ years of IT experience with hands-on exposure to AWS, application development, automation, cloud implementation, DevOps, and AI/ML solution delivery.
• Working knowledge of AWS Bedrock, foundation models, Knowledge Bases, Agents, Guardrails, prompt engineering, inference APIs, and GenAI application patterns.
• Practical exposure to RAG concepts including embeddings, vector search, document ingestion, chunking, metadata filtering, retrieval tuning, and response validation.
• Hands-on experience with Python/Node.js, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB/RDS, OpenSearch/vector stores, IAM, CloudWatch, Git, CI/CD, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
• Ability to troubleshoot implementation issues related to prompts, retrieval quality, model responses, API calls, permissions, authentication, and deployment configuration.
• Strong analytical, documentation, collaboration, and offshore implementation execution skills.
• AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS Developer Associate, AWS Solutions Architect Associate, or AWS AI Practitioner certification preferred.
