About The Role We are looking for an experienced AWS Infrastructure Engineer with strong expertise in compute platforms, container technologies, and infrastructure automation. The ideal candidate will design, build, and operate scalable AWS environments while driving reliability, security, operational excellence, and cost optimization. This is a hands-on engineering role requiring strong technical depth, automation skills, and the ability to mentor junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage AWS compute platforms including EC2 Auto Scaling Groups, Launch Templates, and related services.
• Build, operate, and optimize container platforms using ECS Fargate and EKS.
• Manage ECR repositories, image lifecycle policies, and container security best practices.
• Configure and optimize Application and Network Load Balancers (ALB/NLB) for high availability and traffic management.
• Develop automation workflows using AWS Lambda and Step Functions.
• Manage storage services including EBS and EFS, ensuring performance, availability, and security.
• Implement and maintain AWS Backup policies, disaster recovery processes, and recovery runbooks.
• Administer secure access to AWS resources using AWS Systems Manager Session Manager.
• Support hybrid cloud and AWS Outposts environments where required.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and follow enterprise standards.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or similar tools.
• Drive infrastructure reliability, performance, and cost optimization initiatives.
• Collaborate with architecture documentation and ensure solutions meet standard requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across projects and initiatives.

Must-Have Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on AWS infrastructure experience with a strong focus on compute and container platforms.
• Strong experience with AWS EC2, ECS, EKS, networking, and related infrastructure services.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform. Experience with Terraform Enterprise (TFE), including workspace management, policy enforcement, remote state management, and CI/CD integrations, is highly preferred.
• Strong scripting and automation skills using Python.
• Solid understanding of AWS networking, IAM, security, governance, and operational best practices.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
