Job Description: Position: AWS Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced AWS Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-based data pipelines and streaming solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AWS services including AWS Glue, Amazon S3, Amazon EC2, Kubernetes, and Apache Kafka. You will work closely with data architects, application teams, and DevOps engineers to build reliable, secure, and high-performance data platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using AWS Glue.
• Build and manage scalable data lakes on Amazon S3.
• Deploy and maintain applications and services on Amazon EC2.
• Develop and support real-time data streaming solutions using Apache Kafka.
• Deploy, monitor, and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes.
• Implement data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration workflows.
• Monitor application performance and troubleshoot production issues.
• Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data engineering solutions.
• Implement security, monitoring, logging, and disaster recovery best practices.

Required Skills:

• Strong experience with AWS Glue, Amazon S3, and Amazon EC2.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka for event-driven architectures.
• Experience deploying and managing applications on Kubernetes.
• Strong SQL skills and ETL development experience.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala.
• Experience with Linux and shell scripting.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of cloud networking, IAM, and security best practices.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Apache Spark and PySpark.
• Familiarity with Apache Airflow or similar workflow orchestration tools.
• Experience with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of Docker and containerization.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• AWS Certification (Solutions Architect, Data Engineer, or Developer) is a plus.
