We are looking for an experienced AWS-focused Database Process Intelligence Engineer to support EC (Energy Components) and PI (Process Intelligence) teams. The role involves hands-on responsibility across AWS database services, infrastructure provisioning, automation, compliance, performance optimization, and platform operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage AWS RDS / Aurora (Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server preferred), including schema management and database lifecycle operations.
- Handle Backup Recovery (RMAN, Data Pump, AWS snapshots) and failover / DR handling.
- Optimize database performance using AWR, ASH, Enhanced Monitoring, and write advanced SQL PL/SQL.
- Configure parameter option groups, Multi-AZ, Read Replicas, backups, storage scaling, and instance provisioning.
- Implement Terraform (IaC) for AWS resources, GitHub repository management, and CI/CD integration using GitHub Actions.
- Ensure IAM security compliance, access control, encryption, audit logging, Flexera license reviews, and ISO/GDPR compliance.
Requirements
- 10+ Years of experience in database and cloud engineering (AWS-centric).
- Strong experience with AWS RDS / Aurora (Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server preferred).
- Hands-on expertise in backup/recovery (RMAN, Data Pump), performance tuning, and PL/SQL.
- Working knowledge of Terraform (IaC) for AWS resources, GitHub repository management, and GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong documentation, runbooks, compliance (ISO, GDPR), and license optimization (Flexera).
- Location: Remote
- Note: Candidate must not be working in another company currently (UAN required).
