AWS API Gateway Engineer / API Management Architect Location Remote / Hybrid (As per Project Requirement)

Job Summary We are looking for an experienced

AWS API Gateway Engineer / API Management Architect with a strong background in API Management platform migrations, particularly from

3scale to AWS API Gateway . The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience designing, implementing, securing, and migrating enterprise API ecosystems on AWS. This is a critical project requiring immediate engagement to lead and support the migration of APIs, policies, security configurations, developer portals, and integrations from 3scale to AWS API Gateway while ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of overall experience in

API Integration, Middleware Technologies, and AWS Cloud Engineering .

• 4+ years of hands-on experience with

AWS API Gateway .

• Proven experience in

API Management platform migration projects .

• Direct experience migrating from

3scale to AWS API Gateway (highly preferred).

• Strong knowledge of

RESTful API design principles, microservices architecture, and API management best practices .

• Strong expertise in

AWS services, cloud-native architectures, and AWS Well-Architected Framework principles .

• Experience implementing

API security standards, IAM policies, IAM Identity Center (AWS SSO), authentication, authorization, and governance frameworks .

• Experience with

Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, Docker, and containerized application deployments .

• Strong knowledge of

GitOps, and DevOps practices using GitHub Actions, AWS DevOps Services, Bitbucket, Ansible, ArgoCD, Databricks, and Terraform .

• Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and performance optimization skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional)
• AWS Certified Developer Associate
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
• AWS Certified Security Specialty
• Red Hat OpenShift Certification
