Job Purpose & Role

The AVP Business Strategy will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving the strategic direction of the business. This role involves working closely with senior leadership, cross functional teams and external stakeholders to develop, operationalize and monitor strategic initiatives aligned with the Annual Operating Cycle (AoC) and long term business goals.

Key Activities & Expectations

Strategic Planning & Execution

Lead and support the formulation of business strategy in collaboration with leadership and strategy teams.

Drive the development and implementation of Balanced Scorecard (BSC) for the business.

Provide independent and data-driven insights to challenge and refine strategic decisions.

Align AoC with long term strategic objectives and ensure timely execution of key milestones.

Performance Monitoring & Governance

Improve the quality and cadence of business reviews and strategic discussions.

Develop and maintain dashboards and MIS for tracking performance against strategic goals.

Monitor key assignments and strategic projects, ensuring timely delivery and impact.

Facilitate governance mechanisms to drive accountability and cross-functional alignment.

Project Management & Execution

Lead select strategic projects from ideation to execution, ensuring measurable outcomes.

Track and report progress of high impact initiatives to senior stakeholders.

Identify risks and mitigation strategies for critical projects and programs.

Executive Assistant Responsibilities

Provide high level administrative support to senior leadership, including calendar management, travel coordination, and meeting preparation.

Draft and review presentations, reports, and communication for leadership.

Coordinate leadership meetings, prepare agendas, and ensure timely follow-ups on action items.

Act as a liaison between leadership and internal/external stakeholders for smooth communication and alignment.

Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Stakeholder Engagement

Collaborate with business heads, finance, operations, and other functions to ensure strategic alignment.

Act as a strategic advisor to business leaders, providing insights and recommendations.

Support communication of strategic priorities across the organization.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation within the strategy function.

Conduct post implementation reviews to capture learnings and improve future planning cycles.

Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape and regulatory changes impacting strategy. Qualification & Experience

B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with an MBA from a premier institute.

1215+ years of experience in strategy, consulting, business planning or executive support roles.

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Proven track record of managing cross functional projects and influencing senior stakeholders.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality Key Deliverables & Technical skills required
