Av Project Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Design, install, configure, test, and commission professional Audio-Visual (AV) systems for auditoriums, conference rooms, educational institutions, and commercial projects.
• Handle installation and troubleshooting of professional sound systems, amplifiers, speakers, digital mixers, DSP processors, and wireless microphones.
• Prepare technical BOQs, equipment schedules, cable layouts, system block diagrams, and project documentation.
• Perform audio system configuration, DSP programming, speaker tuning, signal routing, and system testing.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors, technicians, and project teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Conduct site surveys, supervise installation activities, and ensure work complies with approved drawings and technical specifications.
• Identify and resolve technical issues during installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
• Provide technical support, preventive maintenance, and after-sales service for installed AV systems.
• Prepare site reports, commissioning reports, handover documents, and material inspection checklists.
• Travel to project sites as required for installation, commissioning, and client support.

Preferred candidate profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 23 years of relevant experience in professional AV systems, auditorium projects, sound systems, stage lighting, or system integration. Freshers with strong practical knowledge may also apply.
• Practical knowledge of professional audio equipment, amplifiers, speakers, mixers, DSP processors, and microphones.
• Knowledge of audio signal flow, balanced audio connections, cable termination, basic networking, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read technical drawings, prepare BOQs, and understand equipment specifications.
• Good problem-solving skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Good communication and coordination skills for working with clients and project teams.
• Willingness to travel to project sites across India as required.
