Automotive Software Validation Engineer

We are looking for an Automotive Infotainment Software Validation Engineer with hands-on experience in manual and automated testing of automotive infotainment ECUs. The candidate should have strong knowledge of grey-box testing, test case development, Python/CAPL scripting, automotive communication protocols, ECU flashing, and infotainment feature validation.

• Create and execute automated and manual Design Verification Plans (DVPs).
• Develop test plans, test cases, and positive/negative test scenarios based on software requirements.
• Perform grey-box testing and automation for automotive infotainment ECUs.
• Validate infotainment features, including Bluetooth, Tuner, Media, USB, Wi-Fi, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Navigation, Voice Recognition (VR), Rear View Camera (RVC), and software updates.
• Develop automated test cases using Python and CAPL scripting.
• Flash ECUs with the latest software builds and perform smoke testing.
• Validate automotive communication protocols, including CAN, LIN, and UDS.
• Use CANoe, CANalyzer, PEAK CAN, and related tools for communication analysis and signal measurement.
• Debug software and hardware-related issues using tools such as Trace32, Segger, and J-Link.
• Design, build, and bring up test setups and test infrastructure.
• Log defects using bug-tracking tools and monitor their progress until closure.
• Perform peer reviews and collaborate with team members to resolve technical issues.
• Ensure testing activities comply with project plans, requirements, and applicable industry standards.
• Coordinate with team leaders and cross-functional teams to identify issues and improvement opportunities.

• Strong understanding of automotive infotainment systems and validation processes.
• Mandatory hands-on experience in grey-box testing and infotainment ECU automation.
• Good understanding of software requirements and requirement-based testing.
• Experience creating and executing test cases and test plans.
• Hands-on experience in Python and CAPL scripting for test automation.
• Knowledge of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and UDS.
• Experience with ECU flashing, diagnostic tools, and debugging tools.
• Familiarity with configuration management, requirements management, revision control, and issue-tracking tools.
• Knowledge of different testing techniques and test infrastructure setup.

• Knowledge of Linux and ASPICE.
• ISTQB certification is an advantage.
• Interest in emerging automotive technologies and infotainment systems.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering discipline.
