Automobile Service Executive – Job Description

Job Summary
We are looking for a customer-focused and technically oriented Automobile Service Executive to manage vehicle service appointments, customer communication, service coordination, and delivery. The candidate will act as the primary point of contact between customers and the service workshop.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive customers and understand their vehicle service and repair requirements.- Schedule service appointments and coordinate vehicle inspections.- Prepare job cards with accurate customer and vehicle details.- Explain required repairs, maintenance work, and estimated costs to customers.- Coordinate with technicians and workshop teams for timely service completion.- Provide customers with regular updates regarding vehicle status and repair progress.- Prepare service estimates and obtain customer approvals when required.- Ensure vehicles are serviced according to company and manufacturer standards.- Conduct final vehicle checks before delivery.- Explain completed work and service charges to customers during vehicle delivery.- Handle customer complaints and coordinate with relevant teams for resolution.- Maintain service records, invoices, and customer documentation.- Follow up with customers after service to collect feedback and encourage repeat visits.- Promote service packages, accessories, extended warranties, and other after-sales products.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Automobile Engineering or a related field preferred.- 1–4 years of experience in automobile service, dealership, or workshop operations.- Good knowledge of basic vehicle systems and maintenance.- Excellent customer-service and communication skills.- Ability to coordinate with technicians, customers, and management.- Basic knowledge of MS Office/Excel and service management software.- Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills.- Ability to work in a fast-paced workshop environment.
