Automation Testing Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Automation Test Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test scripts for web, mobile, and API applications. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, automation tools, and CI/CD practices to ensure product quality and reliability.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API applications.
• Build and maintain scalable automation frameworks using industry-standard tools.
• Analyse business requirements and create comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Identify, document, and track software defects through the defect lifecycle.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to ensure quality deliverables.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Generate test execution reports and provide quality metrics to stakeholders.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Continuously improve test processes, frameworks, and automation coverage.

Requirements:

• Strong experience in automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, and Cypress, TestNG / JUnit.
• Programming knowledge in: Java (preferred), Python, JavaScript/TypeScript.
• API testing using: Postman, Rest Assured, SOAP UI; database testing using SQL.
• Version control systems such as Git.
• CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions.
• Test management tools: JIRA, Azure Test Plans, HP ALM (optional).

Additional Skills:

• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Knowledge of BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow).
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Relevant automation testing certifications are preferred: ISTQB, Selenium Certification.
• Azure DevOps Certification (optional).

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in developing hybrid automation frameworks.
• Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Experience testing microservices and cloud-native applications.
• Knowledge of DevOps and Shift-Left testing practices.
