Automation Test Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in Selenium and Java to design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web-based applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in automation frameworks, testing methodologies, and CI/CD integration, ensuring high-quality software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver with Java
• Develop and enhance automation frameworks (Data-driven, Keyword-driven, Hybrid, or BDD)
• Execute automated and manual test cases to validate functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with developers to resolve issues
• Participate in requirement analysis, test planning, and test case design
• Integrate test automation with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
• Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing
• Maintain test reports and provide test metrics to stakeholders
• Ensure best practices in automation, coding standards, and test documentation
• Collaborate with Agile teams and actively participate in Scrum ceremonies

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience in Automation Testing using Selenium with Java
• Proficiency in Java programming
• Hands-on experience with TestNG / JUnit
• Experience in frameworks: Hybrid / POM / BDD (Cucumber)
• Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies
• Experience with version control tools like Git
• Knowledge of build tools such as Maven or Gradle
• Experience in executing tests on CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.)
• Familiar with defect tracking tools like JIRA
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and documentation skills

Nice to Have (Preferred Skills)

• Experience with API automation (Rest Assured / Postman)
• Knowledge of SQL / Database Testing
• Exposure to Performance Testing (JMeter)
• Experience with Docker / Cloud testing
• Knowledge of Playwright or Cypress (added advantage)

Educational Qualification

• Bachelors degree in computer science / IT / Engineering or equivalent
